We will first be working in Globalteer’s Howler Monkey Sanctuary based in Cordoba for 2 weeks; carrying out maintenance to the site, feeding the monkeys, and harvesting crops for feeding. This Sanctuary is the only one in the world that works to rehabilitate previously mistreated and exploited Howler monkeys back to the wild.
We will then spend a further two weeks in Buenos Aires helping English and PE teachers in delivering their classes to disadvantaged children in the area as part of a scheme orchestrated by United Through Sport. United Through Sport has reached over 2000 children already and use structured sport sessions to provide a positive impact on at-risk children facing very serious social issues.

All participants of DUCK expeditions donate £1000 directly to the charity to ensure the maintenance and continuation of their projects, making a real long-term difference to the project. The charities we support are entirely non-profit local NGOs that often lack any government funding and rely completely on external donations, without which they are unable to operate. The same can be said for the organizations we are working with - United Through Sport who are UK-based charity running a relatively new project in Argentina which is under-funded and also the Proyecto Carayá Howler Monkey Sanctuary (supported by Globalteer).

The rest of the money will be needed for transport to and from Argentina and between the projects, for insurance and accommodation costs.

Please consider supporting this expedition and these amazing organizations!
