We are raising funds to build a Veterans Only Memorial to honor all the military services past present and in the future. The memorial will consist of an engraved brick/block platform in an octagon shape with 16 life-size bronze statues, 16 black engraved granite benches, 19 flag poles, 5 of the highest medals (Medal of Honor, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, POW) will also include the missing man table and a small statue of the battlefield cross.
We have been raising money through small private events the past year trying to raise the money to construct the memorial and it is harder than we thought. We are now reaching out to companies and corporate sponsors to help reach our goal. You can visit our website at www.colerainveteransmemorial.org.
I came up with the veterans memorial for our Township due to there is not veterans only memorial in our Township and it is the largest Township in the state. I myself am a veteran of 7 years (Airborne Infantry). My goal is to build this memorial in honor and respect for every veteran that has ever served and will serve in the future. The Memorial is also a teaching tool and educational tool to teach others about the different wars America has been involved in over the years. The Memorial will be named after a Colerain Township resident that is the 51st most decorated soldier in WWII. Thomas E. Combs was also a POW for 9 months during WWII and survived and came home to his family. He passed away at the VA in Cincinnati in the early 1990s. This memorial is also a tribute and honor of his service to our great country. For God and Country.

Colerain Veterans memorial
Chris Green
Chris Green served in the US Army from 1979 to 1986 as airborne Infantry soldier. Chris decision to join the military was due to his grandfathers service and several other family members service. Chris achieved the rank of SGT. He completed Basic training at Ft. Benning Harmony Church in Aug 1979.
Because you are my Brother! We all support the cause!
From Doug & Val McMullin
Happy to donate because I love veterans and they deserve a quiet place to reflect in Colerain Township.
