We are asking for money to help our non-profit organization transport more adults struglling with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) to treatment and get the help they deserve. Since the early 19th Century SUD has been a major problem. Even before the 19th Century substance use was around, but was influenced by culture, religion, and the growth of industrial revolution. According to the National Center for Health Statistics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were more than 67,300 overdoses in 2018 that resulted in death. This number has increased to over 93,000 in 2020. This does not include suicides due to SUD.
We need to change the help that is provided to people struggling with SUD and start spreading awareness. Our goal is to raise money so we can help the next person get the help they need. We verify that a person has been accepted into treatment before we buy them a plane ticket. We would also like to start paying a portion of detox, treatment, or sober living for the person who is struggling. As we continue to grow we will be able to help more people. Donate now and help make Recovery the New Epidemic! Your donation can save a life!
