The timeframe for most Long-Term Care or Independent Choices Medicaid applications in New Hampshire to be processed is roughly 3-5 months.
Peace of Mind Medicaid Consultant was created in April of 2011 as a for-profit company.
Barbara Barney, owner and operator of Peace of Mind Medicaid Consultant, started the business after 13+ years of watching spouses and family members come in to the DHHS Office frazzeled, upset and concerned because they had no idea what they were doing.
In the last six years, Barbara has met some wonderful families who have hired her and were glad they had. Word-of-mouth is a wonderful business tool. That being said, Barbara still noticed that some individuals were not using her service because they could not afford the fees.
In July 2017, Barbara changed the business status from for-profit to a nonprofit. By making this change, Barbara hopes to be able to reach more individuals within New Hampshire who really could benefit from this service.

Please help support elderly and disabled adults who need help applying for State of New Hampshire Long-Term Care/Independent Choices Medicaid Programs. These programs are available to help pay for their room and board, but getting past the RED TAPE Process is very overwhelming for most candidates.
