COVID-19 has changed the world. The need for technology in the home is more necessary now than ever. Economically disadvantaged children have been especially affected by the challenges of distance learning.
School districts have struggled to fund computer access for all children. Help is needed. Project Vickie is a Technology Access Program developed to donate computers and other electronic equipment to children of low-income families.
Recycled computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, and laptops are distributed through the program. Devices are securely erased, tested, and refurbished to provide technology to those who otherwise could not afford it. Microsoft programs are installed on computer devices to give the child the Microsoft Refurbished "0ut of the Box Experience."
Project Vickie is seeking the donation of computers and cash to help with our cause. Funds donated to the charity will help facilitate the purchase of webcams, WIFI adapters, keyboards, mice, headphones, cleaning supplies, shipping supplies, and more to give all children the equipment and access needed to help pursue a better education.
