The Knox project was created in 2018 to address the growing problems that our country and city are facing with police and young minorities. We created a research team to identify root causes and provide us with doable solutions to these problems. Our team identified several issues within a large portion of the minority youth culture that needed addressing. For example self Pride, poor decision making, believing In one's self & accomplishing goals and dreams, adopting the feeling of hopelessness, a need for more successful mentors of color, more positive peer intervention, and the lack of understanding that every civil society needs law enforcement. There were a plethora of issues outside of the ones that were listed that needed our immediate attention to help solve. So we constructed our programming to address each of these issues through education and awareness presentations. Over time, we expanded our program curriculum to address mental health, bullying/ cyber bullying, drug abuse & awareness, crime, and gang deterrence. Our research and ideas for solutions were so authentic and doable, that the former Mayor's administration adopted many of them, and created similar city programs and initiatives to help tackle some of these issues. Our research and development team is very good at what they do, and our mission first and foremost is to help to solve these problems in every way possible. Even if that means helping our city to create better programs.

Our team also identified major issues with some of the officers serving these communities. Such as lack of knowledge concerning the minority plight; minority youth culture, and in some cases: unconscious bias. With this knowledge, we then began to create a safe and confidential platform, where we can help willing officers in all of these areas. For years, we have shown each participating officer that we do not judge, and have provided a safe and confidential environment for all that would like to come. Our foundation prides itself on being non-bias. Our goal is to help to change behaviors for the better. And we do that through education and simulation training.

There's not many non-profit foundations out here doing what we do. What I mean by that is: that we're helping the minority youth as well as helping the police. Not many foundations or organizations are taking on both of these groups individually, and are committed to trying to solve each of their issues as a whole. Usually, an organization is only constructed to help one or the other. This is what makes The Knox Project progressively unique. And, I guess this is why our name recognition is growing expeditiously throughout the Chicagoland area. If you can, please help us to continue this much needed work, and donate to our Operation Fund. All funding will be used to help us meet our operation budget. Hopefully, in the future, The Knox Project can expand nationwide, and help all of our cities and states across our great nation.
