Our Summer Lunch Program will provide a lunch and an art/craft or reading/story time for youth during the summer months. We will use the funds provided to purchase food items that meet the FDA approved food pyramid, craft supplies, books, and comfortable seating for the kids. We will use volunteers to assist with the crafts and story times to promote creativity, thinking outside the box, and literacy.

Our non-profit, The Purple Door of Toledo, is new in the area located in a strugging school district. The women who started it, Jennifer Amato, Jennifer Aoysse, Tiffany Livingston, and Carlie Amato, all wanted to be able to assist their community but wanted to make sure that the community was the benefiting entity and not the non-profit. We started our own to ensure this. In August of 2017 we created The Purple Door and have it written into our bylaws that we will receive absolutely no compensation.

The Purple Door of Toledo

The Purple Door of Toledo is looking for donations for our Summer Lunch Program. This program aims to help single moms with school age kids over the summer months and looks to promote literacy. We are a brand new non-profit and are located in a very needy area.
