Your Help is Appreciated

Please make a tax-deductible donation to support community college students studying psychology and behavioral sciences.

Our internship program is targeting students of color and students who have overcome significant socioeconomic challenges to attend college.

Why Our Students Need You

Fewer opportunities exist for community college students to participate in internships. When available, they are often time- and cost-prohibitive since most are unpaid and our community college students work full time or part-time while taking a full course load to transfer to a four-year university.  This makes it difficult for them to gain extracurricular and internship experiences that would strengthen their transfer applications to four-year universities.

What We Plan to Do

We'd like to offer a substantial stipend to strongly motivated sophomore students during the 2019-2020 academic year.  Two students will be offered a 16-week internship (10 hours per week) or one nine-month internship, depending on student and class availability. All donations go to stipends, the cost to attend the American Psychological Association's annual convention, and the cost of supplies.

For more information, visit our website and internship page.

Thank you for your support!

Thank you to those who have contributed to support our undergraduate students of psychology. We are aiming to send them to learn, network, and collaborate at the American Psychological Association in Chicago on August 8th. Your support also helps defray the cost to attend.

Student Internship In Behavioral Health

Josh Matacotta, on behalf of

Integrative Behavioral Health Research Institute

Our all-volunteer research institute offers internships to undergraduate students interested in psychology. Donations allow us to give stipends to two underrepresented community college student interns who wish to learn about the graduate school experience and about academic careers in research.
