Hailey Norton, my niece was only 19 years old when her life was taken unexpectedly. She was the most generous young woman who helped those in need with what little she had for herself. She was selfless, caring, beautiful, and heart full of kindness. She did not let anyone go hungry, or go without protection from the cold.

The name says it all, Helping Hands- Hailey's Way. This shelter is in honor of all Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and is dedicated to Hailey Norton.

We want to prevent and shelter Indigenous Women. Statistics show that 4 out of every 5 Indigenous women go missing. We are not statistics, and we want to protect our future generations.

Without Indigenous women and girls, we have no future generations.

The funds requested will shelter women and girls that have no place to go, that have been left behind, or who have been ridiculed and shamed. These women feel they are not able to go home and feel unwanted, the shelter is for them.

Sheltering Our Indigenous Women

Valerie Adair, on behalf of

Helping Hands hailey's Way

Helping Hands Hailey's Way will shelter indigenous women who have nowhere else to turn for help. The shelter will also protect our Indigenous women from being missing, murdered or trafficked.

Valerie Adair

Valerie has a big heart and a special place for those in need of help. Her niece was a victim of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. This hit Valerie in the heart. Her her niece was always helping others with little she had. Valerie wants to continue this through providing shelter for Indigenous Women. Valerie has five children of her own and she cherishes every moment with each one. Her oldest daughter was at one point homeless and an addict. This too has also pushed Valerie to do what she can to help women in need that have no home.
