Seizure First Aid In School-Save Lives

Roxanne Davenport, on behalf of

Epilepsy Association of NC

In North Carolina alone there are 15,200 children under 17 with epilepsy. (https://www.cdc.gov/epilepsy/data/index.html) School nurses are not there all day. We need funding to teach school employees.

Roxanne Davenport

Roxane and I met through a nonprofit physician, my neurologist. We both want to spread epilepsy awareness. She lives in a different county than I, so this is what started the spread of counties joining our group. Roxanne was voted in as our secretary, works on the website, Zoom meetings, etc She has Complex Partial Petit Mal seizures. Found out they were caused by left mesial temporal sclerosis which was formed by having a high fever when she was a baby. After trying different meds and surgery, nothing helped. She still helps others.
