I have the same story as millions of others, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. That turned our world upside down, and we tried to fight it, but by that point it was just too late. I've been reading for so many years about dogs detecting cancer and the research. I thought about this idea years ago but never went through with it. A couple of years after my father passed, I was thinking about how we used to be fighting cancer but no longer. Then I thought I guess I'll just fight it again if someone else close to me is diagnosed. That thought didn't sit right with me at all. I mentioned the idea of training pets to detect cancer to my sister and she thought it was a great idea. Little by little I kept getting these little "pings" that kept me moving further. One morning I woke up and was thinking about starting this nonprofit. I started to dose off and all of a sudden something shook my leg and woke me right up. I was the only one home and immediately in my head, I said ok I'll get back to work on the nonprofit. Then a few weeks later I had a dream about my aunt who also passed from cancer. She is a twin and when she first called me over I thought it was her twin and as I got closer I recognized her voice before I did her face because she looked so much younger than I ever remembered her being. She came up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck and gave me a huge hug. She said I love you. I heard what you are doing, and I'm so proud of you. That morning, I woke up and knew that I had to try this and there was something here. We train dogs to detect drugs, bombs, guns, people, and even seizures. Let's get these dogs trained and in our homes and bring paws in the fight.

Paws In The Fight

I'm asking for donations to start training dogs (family pets) to detect cancer. Dogs have the ability to detect cancer in humans and they can do so at such an early stage, reducing late stage diagnosis.
