OPERATION HOMELESS VETERAN is a long-term housing mission run by New
Beginnings Incorporation: New Beginnings Transitional Services. We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit
organization founded in 2009 with a mission to end the cycle of homelessness in
the military community. We help veterans, especially the homeless and families
of active-duty service members.
California has the highest rate of homeless veterans in the United
States, particularly Los Angeles County. The latest homeless count provided by
the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority shows a 12 percent rise in
homelessness in Los Angeles County. Current homeless stats are located at https://www.lahsa.org/news?article=558-greater-los-angeles-homeless-count-shows-12-rise-in-homelessness&ref=hc.
And, housing costs in Southern California are one of the highest
in the nation. Around 25% of military and veteran families report unmet housing
needs and food insecurity. In addition, about 23 % of military and veteran
families report increased stress and incidence of mental health
symptoms.
Our goal is to assist 50 homeless veterans to secure permanent
housing in 2022. A $25.00 donation will help pay the move-in costs for an
apartment or pay delinquent rent to prevent eviction and the family becoming homeless.

With more than 40,000 homeless veterans nationwide, we are failing our military veterans. Many suffer with substance abuse and PTSD. Spread the word to your family and friends and support Operation Homeless Veteran. A $5.00 donation from 50 people in 30 days will help us moved to the next step in this campaign. Thank you for your support.
