The $500 request will fund a workshop to educate and make awareness of how culture and myths are crippling our male population. They are taught its weak to cry; you must always be strong; you must always be the protector and you should never reach out for help  -  MAN UP

Well, gentlemen if you never reach out and your father beat your mother daily - you will too. If you were beat for crying and not fighting - you will do this to your sons too.  If the man in your life was abused as a child, he will probably abuse you or your children..so.....

Let's provide education about the harmful effects on our minds, mental health if we don't eliminate these cultural norms. How do we do this?

Through education. Through learning what is mental health, what are the negative behaviors, thinking and what role do our cultural norms play in our lives. Does it cause incarceration, recidivism, deaths, family destruction, suicide, emotional, physical, verbal and subtle abuse against your females and your children.? Are we breeding the next generation of offenders, murderers, an abusers?

Help me educate our men and spread the word that their childhood learnings their cultures have and continue to hurt our families, communities, and society but most importantly - IT HARMS YOU!

PLEASE KNOW THAT IT DOES NOT STOP UNLESS WE EDUCATE!!!
