Pledge Together was developed to help kids stay drug-free by providing
them with education and support to make healthy decisions. The program
began in 2001 and has grown substantially over the years. Over 18,000
kids in grades 6 through 12 have been through the program. Our data shows
that 98% of the kids who joined Pledge Together stayed drug-free throughout the
school year.
Through the virtual component, Kids can access information through the
site and receive support and encouragement. Resource information is also
available to them that provides them with accurate substance abuse information
and related topics such as decision making, role modeling, peer pressure,
healthy choices, etc.
Kids who have been through the program report that Pledge Together
kept them drug-free, made it easier for them to say no when offered illegal
substances and created more trust within the family unit. They also
stated Pledge Together made them feel safer in their school environment.
Pledge Together is inexpensive, easily adaptable, and takes very
little time to facilitate.
Due to Covid-19 fundraising efforts have been disrupted. Funding
streams are centered on the epidemic and not on funding prevention
efforts. Substance abuse among kids is increasing due to the current
health situation we are all experiencing. We need your help! Our
kids need your help! We must continue to support and educate them to
secure their future. Won’t you please
help?
