Shinsei Dojo is the first ju jutsu and  judo club  in Croatia which has a group of people with intellectual disabilities actively competing at judo and has been gaining experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities to engage in this sport since 2009. The Shinsei Dojo today has 10 active members, but in spite of its small size, the Dojo has achieved significant results at the level of international competitions.  Members of the Dojo have participated in 20 international competitions in Italy, Germany and the Netherlands and won more than 40 medals.Also club  has first black belt judoka with intellectual disability in Croatian judo history and member of a first world judo championship for persons with intellectual disabilities

After 10 years we lost our place for training so club need funds  to find and start new place for training and also purchase of equipment to ensure better training conditions for members

The goal is to make funds for find and rent new place for training (after 10 years we lost our training place) and also purchase of equipment to ensure better training conditions for members. Promote inclusive practices by enabling people with and without disabilities to train together .

Rene Petrovic, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.Years of experience as a coordinator in working and providing support to persons with intellectual disabilities and experience as an associate at the University of Applied Health Studies at the Department of Occupational Therapy. His interests are involvement of persons with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities primarily in martial arts of judo and jujitsu.
