Samuel Cabassa, Executive Director MCSWS, put a $13,000 down-payment (out of his own funds) to have a mobile hygiene unit built. There is an outstanding balance of $59,530, to pay for and have the unit delivered to Bronx, New York, where it will be utilized. Additionally, $40,000, is needed to purchase a used (like new) F350 truck to hitch the mobile hygiene unit  to so that it can be rotated to various sites. MCSWS is seeking help in raising $99,530, to be able to pay off the mobile hygiene unit and purchase the truck to immediately commence to provide the services delineated above. Your generous contributions will be greatly appreciated and will allow to help restore dignity, hope, and respect to people experiencing homelessness.

MCSWS's aim is to improve the quality of life of New York City's Homeless population by providing free to access to shower and toilet facilities, hand-washing stations, new clothing and laundering, hairdressing and barbering, hot-meals and beverages, Addiction Recovery Coaching & Case Management.

Samuel Cabassa is a living example of redemption. Upon returning to society after serving 34 years in New York States Prison system, Samuel works for NYCHHC in the Emergency Department in the capacity of Certified Recovery Peer Advocate. Samuel has 36 years in long-term sustained recovery from alcohol and substance use and co-occurring disorder.
