The funding for this project is to give veterans the opportunity to come weekly (52 consecutive weeks) and build their self-esteem, and cognitive skills through learning and experiencing various art genre. Our classes will be 1 hour long by a professional artist familiar in many facets of the art world.  All supplies needed will be part of the classes to allow veterans to experience this opportunity at no cost to them. We are a 501c3 and therefore rely on grants and funds to operate. Your help with this project is greatly appreciated. Our classes will be for 1 to 6 people at a time to allow individual needs to be met.

The Veteran Wellness Center offers many opportunities for healing. Located at 129 West Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA, we are within the RENOVA Center, Suite 120. The RENOVA center is a holistic healing center, dedicated to wellness in the community. Among the many companies here for healing are the Hyperbaric Therapy of Hampton Roads,  Float Norfolk (sensory deprivation chamber), Massage Norfolk, Fitness Norfolk, Renova Reset (ZYTO/EVOX Reframing), Cavalier Chiropractic, and Hampton Roads Acupuncture, Trauma Therapy and Yoga, and Individual and Couples Therapy.  All companies here work together to benefit the Veterans and their families in the Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and surrounding areas.

The art classes are just one way to give back to our Veterans and build relationships to continue the healing process.  Whether it is $5 or $5000 donation, all will benefit our military members.

Thank you for your kind donations on behalf of our men and women who support and sustain our nation. It is just a small way I can give back to my comrade's.

Veteran Wellness Center

Many of our Vets have TBI, and associated brain injuries. Our goal at the Veteran Wellness Center (VWC) is to create a program through art that increases cognitive skills and self-worth. "Nothing builds self-esteem and self-confidence like accomplishment" - Thomas Carlyle
