At the Prodigal's Home we offer a 1 year recovery program for men who are tired of living life in addiction. The Prodigal’s Home is a 501c3 organization that teaches men to overcome drug and alcohol addictions and to live soberly in today’s society. At our in-house treatment facility, we are dedicated to utilizing the entire course, 1 year, to its fullest potential. We currently have 4 houses on 10 acres that we use to as our rehabilitation for men. We know men in addiction do not just struggle with addiction but rather they just do not know how to positively occupy their time to its fullest potential. “Idle hands and minds are the devil’s playground” is how I’ve heard it expressed on numerous occasions. Therefore, we do not just focus on sobriety but rather we teach a new way of living and thinking. We teach the men how to occupy their time. From 5:30am to 8pm we keep the men busy with hard work, studies, addiction classes, and much more. We teach the men a new work trade by providing training and employment opportunities in new construction, we teach them how to steward their finances, how to appreciate their belongings, how to clean up after themselves and to keep proper hygiene. Our course is a 1-year program because it takes at least a year to help discipline these men to become, not just sober, but sober minded. The need is so great in our county and several counties surrounding. Every donation will go towards helping someone get sober and will help us in expanding our program so that we can reach out to more men in addiction. Addiction knows no boundaries so from teaching a daddy how to be a dad or helping a parent get their son back, our job is simply to help those bound to the disease of addiction, find the cure and to walk in the freedom they are so desperately seeking to find. There is HOPE!
