Dear Blessed Community Members,
I am Marzella Harris and I am the CEO of True Blessings Nonprofit Organization. At True Blessings, we seek to help at-risk youth and families by providing homelessness prevention and self-sufficiency skills. While we have made some great strides, we still have a lot to accomplish and would like to involve our community as we embark on the next journey. We know how important your support for prevention services makes an impact in our community and how your valued time can move youth, immigrants, and families towards self-sufficiency.
True Blessing's outreach services are modeled to reach out to clients in areas that do not have many family services available to them. Our outreach services consist of bringing awareness to how families can sustain and move towards self-sufficiency. Annually, True Blessing holds a No Child Left Unfed Drive for all True Blessing's clients. This No Child Left Unfed fund is available to children who have a negative meal account balance at the school where they attend and/or who may be experiencing food shortages at home where they reside. The fund is to support families who struggle to make ends meet and aid in assisting families in challenging times. Many times when a child is faced with a negative meal account balance they can be subject to crackers, a sandwich, and milk for the day or may return home with little to no food in the pantry.
NCLU fund is centered to make sure that the children can be successful in school and the parents can receive support when transitioning in and out of unforeseen circumstances. True Blessing has since extended the No Child Left Unfed Drive and provided prevented hunger services to the community in which we serve. The extended community service program named Grab and Go buffet and /or Grab and Go Backpack Drive, allows our team to deliver and hand out essential needed items to the community, such as Soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine products, perishable and non-perishable snacks, and/or foods, diapers and many more essential items.
We would like for you to join us, in support of the Grab and Go buffet/Backpack Drive. Your kind donation of essential Items, valued time, and/or Blessed funds can support and assure True Blessings achieve our mission to serve our community and guide families into self-sufficiency. With just a minute of your time, we hope that True Blessings can inspire you to also be a blessing and join us as we accomplish strengthening our communities!
