There are around 40 million people in the United States that are food insecure. They aren't sure if they can afford their next meal. While there are programs in place to help those in need, many still require additional assistance. But these programs don't hit the core of the problem.

Every year we throw away about 40% of the food supply, around 131 Billion pounds of food. This is enough to feed approximately 2 Billion. Even if 97% of the food thrown away is completely inedible, that leaves enough to provide subsistence to everyone and still have enough for 20 million.

Food For All Distributors is based in South Florida and is working towards a practical solution to this issue. Money raised will be going to food drives, awareness campaigns, and development of an App designed to connect all levels of food distribution.

The $10,000 requested will be spent by:

  • $5,000 to obtain, prepare, and serve food to those in need.
  • $2,500 for awareness campaigns, food drives, and other events
  • $2,500 to start creating a simple to use app

Our job is not solely to help the homeless, the majority of the 40 million are working people that just can't make it in this time of stagnant wage growth. The demographics in need of the most help is Single Mothers and their children.
