FGF established a new program in 2021 that addresses childhood food insecurity:
Meals On Wheels 4 Kids GA
(A division of the Meals On Wheels 4 Kids by Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger).
- We address food insecurity for afterschool, weekends, school breaks, summer breaks, and virtual learners by providing food for the entire family AND food for each school aged child in the household. This consists of produce, non-perishables, perishable, and plant-based options.
- We also address food allergies and health related dietary concerns by offering allergy friendly and diet specific foods according to individual households.
We reach clients WHERE they are to address the issues of lack of transportation, health related immobility, and lack of access by offering door to door home deliveries, shipped to home deliveries, and store order pick up and deliveries throughout the state of Georgia.
