FC Birmingham - Our Club, Our City!!

The mission of FC Birmingham is to create leaders in our youth who in turn enrich their community. Our goal is to develop the individual so that he or she can reach their full potential to succeed on and off the field.

On the field, we strive to level the playing field for all children, making soccer affordable to all regardless of their race, gender, religion, or socioeconomic status. Off the pitch, we are consistently partnering with organizations to ensure a consistent community presence and impact.

FC Birmingham is located in the heart of Birmingham, Alabama. We currently operate/manage (either in full or partial) five fields in the metro area located along the I-59 corridor. Our field locations include the Pleasant Grove Athletic Complex, Homer Hayes Park (Fairfield), Duke Park, Lily Field (Altamont), and Lawson Field (Irondale).

Our program relies on community donations and corporate sponsorships to survive as over 60% of our players require financial aid or scholarships to cover their membership fees.

These donations allow us to keep up our promise of turning no kids away.

These donations also allow us to apply general upgrades and upkeep to our facilities. Our goal is to have fields in the places where these kids live. This meant taking possession of fields that were not in good shape. In order to make them safe, playable, and compliant with regulations. Most of these fields are overgrown, have poor drainage systems (if they even have one), and have not been regularly maintained for a smooth playing surface.

These kids need proper equipment - goals, balls, shin guards, cleats, etc. – which we also ensure is available for each club member.
