The cat is problaby the only pet that people still consider to be a wild life animal. That is in ever sense untrue because a house cat that is domesticated is a pet.to many families. A cat that is not let outside becomes attached to the family he or she is living with and will not want to go outside. We adopt kittens with the understanding the kitten will remain inside. The outside world poses at least 20 dangers to a cat like being abuse, being trapped and dumped away from home and dying alone, or being run over by car or poisoned.

The program we started eight years, it's mission was to help control the cat population by spay and neutering many house whole cats and kittens. By working with our local vets and providing free spay and neuter to the senior, medicare, low income and disability citizens who have cats as pets but can afford to spay and neuter. providing the service for free to them will greatly reduce the many stray cats and unaltered pets creating the over population.

The goal is to reduce the number unwanted kittens that in almost every case either go unaltered or die painful death. A realistic timeframe is with in a year or two accomplish a reasonal results and continuing the program it is safe to sayit can be done. The outside cat lives 3 to 5 years with no replacement kitten the goal could be accomplished.

Brookhaven Animal Rescue has been free spay and neuter cats for cat colony caretaker since 2010. Funding has been harder and harder to acquire in the past years and we need fund to continue the free spay and neuter program to be sucessful. YOUR DONATION WILL HELP US CONTINUE OUR MISSION TO SAVE CAT LIVES.

Joseph Lipari, on behalf of

Brookhaven Animal Rescue Alliance Ltd

There are 10,000 of cat colonies in many areas, where overpopulation is out of control and a program like Trap, Neuter, Release works in controlling cat colony overpopulation. By reducing the birth rate of kittens you control the size of the cat colony. Better of cat control then euthanasia.
