Crowdfunding for Women

In a business world perceived to be dominated by men, women must work extra hard to attract entrepreneurial funds. The good news is crowdfunding helps to level the playing field for women looking to start a small business by providing a platform to tell their stories to potential investors.

And women, studies show, are better at raising funds from large groups of anonymous donors than their male counterparts. For one, women are considered more trustworthy, which is particularly important when soliciting crowdfunding from novice donors rather than from industries populated with a preponderance of males, such as banking and venture capital.
