There are some barriers that WWCSD experiences and these reasons are why this district so desperately needs funds to go to the students and staff.  My wish would be to provide for ALL classrooms throughout the district.

  • ·        Inadequate funding
  • ·        Parent apathy
  • ·        One of Michigan’s school districts with the most homeless students
  • ·        Poverty
  • ·        Large class sizes, overcrowded classrooms
  • ·        Staff stretched too thin; demanding workload makes it challenging to perform the job to their own high standards
  • ·        Lack of support staff (i.e. social workers)
  • ·        Transient population
