My name is William Odem. I am the owner/operator of the Chess Club for God Outreach. This nonprofit is designed to be a one-stop that is able to assist the community in any way presented. The community that we live in is our chess board, and the mission is to go out and checkmate the devil in any form he presents himself! Whether the issue is addiction, hunger, clothing, homelessness, poverty, abuse, domestic violence, mental health, at risk youth, crime prevention, minorities, battered women, human trafficking, rape victims, and so on, this nonprofit aspires to be the tool required to help all those in need and provide the resources, assistance, awareness and/or guidance in whatever form the life issues take.
The structure of this nonprofit is that of a tree of life, having limitless branches which represent the categories that we can help others in need. The beauty of the tree of life structure is that there stands no limit to the ways this nonprofit can reach out and help the community. Another branch can always be grown! Thus, an empire of assistance can be built. Rehabilitation centers, Safe houses, Food Pantries, and more, are all strategically placed in different areas of the community by the chess club to help turn the community upside down, from the inside out!
In my experience, I've seen so many loved ones succumb to things such as violence, addiction, and poverty. I've also COUNSELED many individuals who are truly GOOD people, just having holes in their souls due to trauma or even mental health.
I want this nonprofit to serve as a glimmer of hope to all who encounter it. The reason for my reaching out is because this nonprofit will function strictly off of grants and donations, as I do NOT believe in charging the community, to help and raise up the community. Thus I would like to humbly ask for your assistance in the beginning to grow our branches!
My current goal is to raise $5,000 to begin growing and use it towards blessing others. One branch of this nonprofit will be called the RAK-squad (random acts of kindness). I would like to have a fund to pull from to bless people who are in need throughout the community. Any help you can give with the overall mission will be greatly appreciated, and I thank you in advance even for taking the time to read this! Please remain blessed!
